Artwork

"To me, painting is just another form of choreography."

"The paper is the stage upon which the action takes place. It has always been easy for me to translate visual ideas from 3-D to 2-D and back again."

"Whenever I cut into a good watercolor I have just painted, I think of it as a kind of ceremony in which I acknowledge my faith in the creative process. In doing this, I am reminded of the cycle of creation, change, and recreation that is inherent on all natural, living processes. You know, making dances also involves a willingness to participate in a process of making something that inevitably changes over time."

The sale of yB art work through exhibitions and art walks helps to cover some of the production costs related to the creation of the AV materials in the yB dance booklets. yB art work falls into several categories: original art, fine prints, notecards, and costume design.
