From an early age, Betsy was dancing, drawing and painting. Her fascination with movement and visual expression has informed her long and productive life as a creative artist. From her multi-age dances that combined movement, color, light, and music to her solo Color-Speaking Poems to her “watercolor-sewn collages”, Betsy has always enjoyed playing across art forms.
Betsy Blair regularly exhibits and sells her paintings in the annual Watts Hospital-Hillandale Neighborhood Art Walk. Over the years, her work has been shared in special venues such as Durham Art Guild membership and juried art shows, Craven Allen Gallery in Durham, UNC Women's Hospital in Chapel Hill, the Durham Mayor's Office, Integrative Physicians of Durham, Tia B's Restaurant in Chimney Rock, NC, Altered Image in Durham and others.
